Pharm.D. Admissions Application

Procedures for Applying

Beginning June 1, 2007, students applying to the University of Tennessee College of Pharmacy must complete the central online application through the Pharmacy College Application Service (PharmCAS) provided by the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP). The PharmCAS application can be found at www.pharmcas.org. PharmCAS facilitates application to the UT College of Pharmacy and other pharmacy colleges and schools designated by the applicant.

The following are the steps in the UT College of Pharmacy application process:

  1. Apply online via PharmCAS (www.pharmcas.org) and designate that the University of Tennessee College of Pharmacy receive your application.
  2. Register for the Pharmacy College Admission Test (PCAT) at www.pcatweb.info and have your score sent to PharmCAS (Code 104). The PCAT is administered four times per academic year (June, August, October, and January). UT recommends that students take the test early in the admissions cycle (June, August, or October) so they have the opportunity to retake the exam.
  3. After an application has been reviewed, the stronger candidates will be contacted to complete the Supplemental Application online.

February 1 is the deadline for submission of all materials. However, the College of Pharmacy recommends that applications be made early.
