Capabilities
The processing laboratory complex has the capacity for small scale manufacturing of small volume sterile preparations, normally up to about 3000 units per batch or 19 liters. Capability for processing lyophilized products is provided by two freeze dryers. Associated support laboratories provide the facilities for quality control testing specific to parenteral products such as particulates, sterility, bioburden, LAL testing and environmental evaluation. In addition, capabilities are provided for hospital type process including IV admixture, home health care and other similar activities.
