The Address/Phone Book
Can you do these functions with your PDA
address book?
Many of you probably already know how to use this built-in function as the address
book and the calendar are the most widely used programs. Take a look at the
items below to be sure you can do all of these activities.
| Activate the address/phonebook
All you have to do is push its hard (application) button on your PDA (second from the left with the phone icon on it). You should now see this screen. Tap the "New" button (see near bottom right) to submit a new entry. |
| Display only those entries
used for work or only for personal contact
| Rearrange the order of
information for a given contact (e.g., work, home, fax, email, etc.)
| Display the email address
for one client and the fax number for another in the main address list
| Beam a contact to another
person
| Add a new field that is not
listed to the address listing
| Use a commercial Address
Book that has many more features than the Palm OS Address Book ("the
way Palm should have made it")
Commercial Address Books can be found at PalmGear.com. Some popular programs include Contacts, Act!, and Agendus among others. Try them out and see which one works best for you. |
Wouldn't you rather be using an Address
Book like these?
