Research Interests:

Dr. Mirvis’ research interests are focused on the structure and function of health care systems.  Specific areas of interest include the financing and outcome of TennCare, Tennessee’s medical managed care program; assessing and improving quality of care; evaluating the impacts and operations of academic health centers; and measuring psychological stress and burnout in health system leaders.  In addition, Dr. Mirvis is a cardiologist and has research interests in basic and applied electrocardiography and cardiovascular therapy.
