Transfer Students
Admission on an advanced-standing basis is dependent on the availability of
positions in the class. Admission for advanced standing is competitive and
students meeting minimum requirements are not guaranteed admission. An applicant
who requests admission as an advanced standing student must:
- Provide credentials of honorable dismissal, certified by proper authorities,
from all colleges previously attended, including satisfactory discharge of all
financial obligations toward the institution. A letter of good standing from the
dean of the school last attended will suffice.
- Provide certified transcripts of grades for all pre-pharmacy and
professional courses. (Students must have successfully completed all
prerequisites required for admission to the UT College of Pharmacy.)
- Appear for a personal interview.
- Provide Pharmacy College Admission Test (PCAT) scores.
- Provide three letters of recommendation.
- Provide descriptions from their current pharmacy curriculum to determine
if they may enter without losing any previously won credits. Students from
schools holding membership in the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy
will be allowed full course or subject credit for all courses completed
satisfactorily.
Note: In order to fulfill the requirements of the College and qualify
to receive the Pharm.D. degree, a transfer student must complete the last two
years of study in residence at the UT College of Pharmacy
